Hello, I’m Bessie Chow, founder and principal of Go Beyond Equity Inc.

I am a governance professional with extensive experience advising and supporting boards across public, private, not-for-profit, Indigenous, Crown corporation, and post-secondary organizations. I work with boards and senior leadership to strengthen governance, clarify decision-making structures, improve board effectiveness, and develop practical policies and governance frameworks.

My experience includes governance strategy, policy development, board operations, governance implementation, strategic planning, and organizational reform. Having served as both a board director and board secretary, I understand the practical responsibilities of governance from within the boardroom.

I hold an MBA and have completed the academic requirements for the Chartered Governance Professional designation, which is pending. I am also a trained strategic planning facilitator through Vantage Point.

Through Go Beyond Equity, I provide practical, context-sensitive governance support grounded in accountability, sound decision-making, and organizational purpose.
